Big news for the school’s eSports program! All three Valorant teams, D1, D2, and D3, have officially qualified for the State Finals, which will take place on May 9th at Wilson College. It has been a strong season across the board for the team, with consistent performances leading up to the finals.
A key milestone this year is that every team representing the program has advanced to the finals, reflecting the overall growth of the team in both skill and consistency.
Leading the program is Captain Alan He, who has played a major role in organizing and guiding the competitive side of the team throughout the season. Supporting him is Vice/Captain Ivan Shurin, who also helps coordinate team structure and gameplay preparation.

Behind the scenes, the program’s organization has been supported by many student leaders. Melody Liu serves as a social media manager, handling all content and updates for the program’s online presence. Willie Chen is the team Secretary, assisting with coordination and communication. Amber Chiang serves as Treasurer and helps manage team-related logistics.
On the competitive side, one of the standout achievements this season comes from the Fortnite division. Sophomores Nick Burgher and Alex Malaret recently won the 2026 PIEA Spring Fortnite Championship last month, earning recognition as reigning champions heading into the current cycle.
With finals approaching at Wilson College, the team is preparing for one of the most important events of the year. With all three teams advancing and momentum from a championship win already established, expectations remain high going into May 9th.
