How the Brain Functions Best

When does the brain function best? Many people believe that the earlier you wake up, the smarter you will be, but this actually isn’t true at all. In fact, learning is most effective from 10am until 2pm. 

Let me guess…Many of you are surprised. But the brain needs physical activity to function more effectively. First of all, getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important ways to warm up your brain. Just like our body needs food to sustain itself, the brain needs sleep to recover and work at its best. 

Second, the brain needs sustenance for it to warm up. Food and water are a way to kickstart your brain after a nice, long sleep. The quality of food is important as well.

Finally, the amount of sleep a person needs is dependent on their age. For example, the elementary, middle, and high schoolers start school at different hours. Younger people need more sleep and more time to warm up the brain for it to function properly.
