LM Police Offer Hope in This Trying Season

Vadim Prater

In October, the Lower Moreland Township Police Department started two initiatives to bring some much needed joy to residents this season. Both of these events were intended to make sure the holidays are fun and memorable for the people the Department protects and serves.

The first event they sponsored was a fall and Halloween decor contest. There were a variety of categories in which residents could win a prize, including house, driveway, lawn, mailbox, scarecrow, porch, and essential worker recognition. The police organized a drive-through tour to showcase the decorations of all the contestants.

The second initiative was a food drive during the month of October. The police partnered with the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth to make sure that every family has a Thanksgiving dinner this year. People were able to donate canned vegetables, canned gravy, bread mix, and mashed potatoes mix by bringing them directly to the Police Department building. Please join us in saluting the LM Police Department for making a difference in our community!
