Lower Moreland High School’s Drama Club is bringing an exciting production to the stage this fall with The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. Performances will be held on November 13th, 14th, and 15th at 7 PM in the Lower Moreland Middle School Auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door: $12 for adults and $10 for students (cash only).
This year’s Drama Club season is tied together by a “fairy tale” theme, with The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon in the fall and The Little Mermaid coming this spring. “We have one of our biggest casts yet for a fall show…28 students!” said Leah Abramson, the director. “They’re having a lot of fun running around and interpreting all the different Grimm fairy tales. You don’t want to miss this fast-paced and funny show!”
In The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, the classic fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are flipped upside down in a comedy where two narrators and the cast attempt to retell all 209 stories, from familiar favorites like Snow White and Cinderella to lesser-known tales like The Devil’s Grandmother, in one. Expect quick costume changes, funny moments, and a healthy dose of chaos.
Cast members say this show has been one of the most entertaining productions they’ve worked on. “This show is so much fun!” said junior Ash Archibald. “We have a large cast, which makes it so much more fun to be a part of. The directors and staff did such a great job with the casting, and the performers are doing such a good job on bringing this fun story to the stage.”
Garrett Murawsky, who plays King 1 and Dwarf 1, added that the show’s humor and creativity stand out this year. “I genuinely think this is one of the funniest shows we’ve done,” he said. “The set is really cool, and there are a lot of fun scenes, including a dress-to-impress style showdown.”
Charlotte Nash, another cast member, said she’s especially excited for audiences to see all the energy the cast has brought to rehearsals. “Our set looks amazing, shoutout to Harvey, and I’m just so excited for the show!”
With its clever writing, witty comedy, and a cast of 28 talented students, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a must-see event for the Lower Moreland community. Don’t miss this fairy tale mash-up that’s sure to have audiences laughing from start to finish!
