Halloween is a time for scary fun for all, with its origins dating back almost 2,000 years, but many do not know that it was only introduced to the United States in the early 19th century. The holiday gets everyone in the spooky spirit, with people decorating their homes and rushing around to stores to find decorations. But it all culminates in the night of Halloween itself, the night when children dress up in costumes and go door-to-door asking for candy.
But what candy, you may ask? That, my friends, is a tough choice, but comes down to two in the end: Hershey’s or Reese’s. These popular candies have long shared a friendly rivalry, but which one truly takes the top spot?
I surveyed a few people in my family to get some opinions on this. My parents both agreed, saying, “The rich chocolate taste from Hershey’s is far superior.” However, my brother disagreed, insisting, “Nothing can beat the chocolate and peanut butter combo.” I must say, I have to agree with him.
Sure, Hershey’s Chocolate is definitely a good chocolate with its rich taste from cacao beans. But, we can all agree that there is nothing in this world that could ever beat the classic, good-old, chocolate and peanut butter. The milky, rich, chocolate surrounding the creamy and sweet peanut butter within is the most perfect pair, leading to Reese’s being loved by everyone all over.
So, what’s your favorite? Reese’s or Hershey’s? Or in Halloween terms, Treat or Treat?
