This past Thursday, students and staff celebrated the musical talents of the LM community and gave back to a good cause at the annual Notes of Hope event. The proceeds from the event, which is run every year by students in the high school choir, were given to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a non-profit organization that helps people across the country receive life-saving medications, health care, meals, counseling, and emergency financial assistance.
Since 1988, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has raised over $300 million for necessary services for those living with HIV/AIDS and those facing COVID-19 and other critical illnesses in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
Family and friends gathered in the new Black Box Theater and enjoyed good music and yummy treats. The Senior Heads, Kasey Lim and Eden George, along with the Junior Committee, Katie Heller, Ash Archibald, Cypher Santiago, Garrett Murawsky, Jun Li, and Katelyn Haggerty, worked hard to put together a great event and a fun night overall.
Eden says, “Kacey and I are so glad to continue Lower Moreland’s tradition of Notes of Hope. We love that NOH showcases the gifts of our faculty and students while making a difference in various communities.”
