For the second year, LMHS’s Multicultural Club was an amazing night of celebrating diversity, equity, and belonging. Full of food, presentations, and games, Multicultural Night is a way to learn about and appreciate the various cultures represented within the LM community.
A wide array of food, including delicacies from dozens of different countries and backgrounds, were enjoyed during the night. Those in attendance were able to hear from amazing speakers and performers and witness demonstrations like a Dragon Dance, a presentation from Action Karate, and a Cambodian dance. Some of the games included step-by-step dance tutorials and a henna stall.
This night would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of LMHS’s Multicultural Club. A special thanks goes to the club’s presidents (Zayla George, Zayna George, and Jaela George), the faculty advisors (Ms. Mulroy, Ms. Pacitti, and Dr. Mollett), and all of the parent volunteers, led by Mrs. Amy Shah-George, who made the night come together.
Co-founder and co-president of the club Zayna George said, “The night was a great success. I believe everyone enjoyed immersing themselves in the cultures that make up our community. It was a great way for people to connect with one another. We hope next year will be an even bigger success!”
