What’s better than fun, music, and food?! Well, Java Jam brought together all three with an exciting evening of performances. Java Jam is one of the few LM activities that brings together students, staff, and community members alike.
This year’s Java Jam featured over 20 musical performances of all different genres. We saw soloists, duets, and full bands performing pop, country, rock, and even jazz. Some first-time performers made their musical debut, while many others continued to steal the show after years of District performances. Performances featured all types of students and well as the faculty band, Staff Infection. Some students even collaborated with staff members to showcase their musical talents.
Not only was Java Jam a phenomenal night of music, but it also marked the District’s first performance in our new Black Box Theater. Traditionally, Java Jam has been held in the HS cafeteria, but this year marked a new era for this night of fun and music. The Black Box made for a cozy feel with cool lighting and plenty of room for a packed audience.
The overall best part of Java Jam is that anyone can come or perform, and it’s a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents while being supported by the Lower Moreland community. Student performer Adrienne Nicastro spoke on why she loves this event, noting, “I love Java Jam. It’s such a fun event to look forward to. I think my favorite thing about it is just how supportive everyone is, both students and teachers. It really is a safe space where everyone can just share music and have a great time!”
All proceeds of the event went to the senior class. Java Jam was a really fun evening of music for performers and audience members alike!!
